LROCA MAINLAND 2016

Day 6. Farewell to Waiuta and set course for Fox Glacier. Today was all highway driving in order to get down to Glacier country.

At one point, LR1 found itself with all of the Under 8 Girls in the back of the truck. I'm not sure what happened, but I do know that Ray was seen dabbing to Taylor Swift on his way to the showers that night.

The local camp ground was shrouded in mist and LROCA youth took the opportunity to work on strategy.

The rest of us utilised the laundry facilities and helped one another fight off marauding German tourists and their proclivity for hogging dryers.

Katie and I formed an impressive, defensive pincer movement with Paula at the head - securing a dryer. We felt we were a good example to the children regarding strategic thinking in real world situations. If all else had failed, we would've just got Steve to shout at them.

Whilst we did see the foot of a glacier, I forgot to take a photo. Rest assured, we did see some ice in some water. And it wasn't just my gin.
