Special Update - German Toilets

Germany, 22.09.2018

This is a special update for Charlotte and Abigail, because I thought they might find this funny.

This is a picture of the toilets you sometimes see in Germany. As you can see, the hole is at the front of the toilet bowl. Most of the bowl is taken up by a large shelf, which has a very shallow pool of water in it. This shelf is located directly under where your bottom would be when you sit on the toilet.

When you do poohs, they land on the shelf. This is so you can inspect them (colour, size, shape and yes, smell) before you flush them away. The water comes down the back of the bowl and pushes your pooh forward and down the hole.

It is fascinating how many different ways there are for disposing of human waste.
