Day 20 & 21

Buongiorno,

We haven’t been doing much these two days, just relaxing and enjoying the weekend.

The weather hasn’t been the greatest. We have had loud thunderstorms that wake us up at night. It is still warm, about 22 degrees, but cloudy, a bit windy.

On Saturday we sat on the beach for a while, but we didn’t swim. The waves were quite strong after the storm the previous night. Then the tide came up and tried to wash us away, so we decided it was time for lunch.

We’ve had a bit of a wander around Maiori, which is a pretty little village, lots of restaurants, but fewer tourists and fewer souvenir shops.

Sunday was raining but it was also Bathurst Day. Koro spent most of the day watching the race via a delayed stream on the internet. A very exciting race this year.

Our apartment has a washing machine, so Grandma has been doing lots of washing (including all of Koro’s undies and socks). Grandma is always happy when she has access to a washing machine.

It has been nice to spend a couple of days just relaxing and not doing too much. The weather forecast is for fine weather tomorrow, so we plan to explore Ravello and Almalfi tomorrow.
