Laters London - MC and JD's adventure back to NZ
Norwegians are so friendly - we tried to go on the wrong bus and they legitimately wouldn't have it! They then kindly pointed us in the direction of the correct one, same number, same name, but going where we wanted to go.
Baguettes and chippies in hand we set off... and stayed on the bus for 7 hours until arriving in Odda, but WOW! Norway has some beautiful vistas! We spent the whole time on two lane highways driving around fjords, over mountains and through ski fields without the snow. We can honestly say that was the best 7 hour bus ride of our lives.
Odda is a stunning little town set at the top of one of the arms of Hardangerfjord. Actually just learnt this as we thought it was a lake...... This is the closest town to the start of Trolltunga so it is very much set up for the outdoors. There were hikers, mountain bikers, etc all around. The hikers were noticeably walking funny, great for the confidence!
We found our way to our accommodation, Trolltunga Studios right on the fjord/lake. Here we cooked some dinner and chilled out before a big day tomorrow.
