I bought my plane ticket this week! It may seem early, but I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. I upgraded this time to Premium Economy on Air France. By paying a bit (ok, maybe more than a bit) more I can check 2 bags and carry on 3 items. It's a separate cabin, more room, etc. I just couldn't face going steerage again.

I'm waiting for documents to come back so I can go to the Spanish consulate in San Francisco to apply for a Residency Visa for Retirees. I already had to reschedule the appointment (you can only do it once!) because the docs weren't back.

Nick and Teté have found a new piso, an apartment like a flat. It's in the Chamberí area of Madrid. Not touristy, the most traditional neighborhood. I am hoping to find a 2 bedroom piso within my price range in the same neighborhood.
