My trip is in the hands of the Spanish Consulate tomorrow.
At my last appointment in October, I found out I needed extra medical insurance...no deductible, Kaiser didn't cut it, etc. I have had everything I need translated. Since Nick is a translator working for a translation company in Madrid I was able to get it done for free! They saved me a couple hundred dollars at least.
So I'm back again tomorrow. No, I didn't purposely save everything until the last minute, I started
the process in August! I had to cancel the first appointment because I hadn't received paperwork back from Sacramento. I didn't go to second one because everyone thought Dad was going to die. Anyway, here I am. If everything is accepted I just have to wait anxiously for it to come through before my scheduled flight Jan. 4. If not....I'll have to go later than I'd planned. Wish me luck.
