Today we got up at 5.30 for breakfast at 6. We are leaving for Chiang Mai. We stopped off at a beautiful place called the White Temple. It used to be an average temple but then an artist came and re decorated and built new buildings and now it's beautiful. It's all white with gems with contemporary art around the outside such as a pool of hands and Devils and goblins etc. Once over the bridge into the White temple it's even more beautiful. The walls were not traditional. While the colours were the same as normal, the art had a modern twist, with images of Ben 10, Hello Kitty and even Michael Jackson. We then left the temple and walked round the ground. There was a "Kama walkway" which was basically just a veranda with metal leaves hanging from the ceiling but there was thousands hanging down. It was lovely. Written on the leaves were names on one side and wishes on the other. There was also trees with the same leaves on. I bought a leaf and wrote a wish on it. We walked down the walk way again and said prayers. It was quite an emotional experience. We got back into the van and drove to the Condom and Cabbage. On the way Sarah told us about a story during Ramadan when the non Muslim children were eating and a Muslim was coming into the room and the children shouted "STOP!! The Muslims are coming!!!!" It was very funny. Amy then called Muslims the "Ramadams". It was actually very boring I don't know why we went lol. We then carried on to Chiang Mai and went straight to the hotel. We dropped off our bags and went out for lunch. We then came back and got ready to go out in the evening because we were going to a cooking class then straight out to town. The cooking class was amazing. We made a chicken and coconut soup which was AMAZING! We also made delicious spring rolls and then green curry and phatai which was so so good. The green curry is my favourite. Along with the Spring rolls. We then got a tuc tuc to the market and all bought a bracelet. Then we went for a Wee drink before the lady boy show. This show was amazing there was two girls which were amazing!! Katy had happy bday sung to her which was so nice and she got up on stage and had a cake. We then walked to a club but it was weird and I wasn't drunk so around 12 me and Rachel came home. We sat with Valentino, Mark and Rachael and they made me laugh so much!! I went back to my room at 1 and Claire was on the phone to her Boyf so I sat eating pretzels in bed hahaha yum
