My diary

I'm going to make a prediction that every time I'm asked to write about my memorable moment for the week, I will write about MLK Church. This week was our first time attending Holy Spirit night.

It. Was. Amazing.

I love that the presence of God transcends all borders and languages. Despite barely understanding any of the worship songs, I fully understood that God was with us. While worshiping in French, I had a moment where a truth that has been taught over and over in church, really came to life. I've always been told that worship is more about the position of your heart and mind than the words you sing, etc. For me, I had to accept that truth on a new level here because I didn't understand the words. This night, I truly knew that God was receiving my praise and worship joyfully despite me not fully understanding what I was singing.

During the evening, we spent time worshiping, Pastor Nicolas gave a brief word, and then we spent time in prayer and prophesy. Thankfully, Jeff came back and translated Pastor Nicolas' message for us. He challenged us to walk in all God has given us, because as sons and daughters, God holds nothing back from us. We already have every gift through Jesus. It was an encouraging message to press in and after, MLK Church pressed in. I loved seeing them operate in their gifting and the testimonies that came from it.

After the service, Paige and I were able to meet some of the young people in the church. This was really our first time doing so and we loved it! They were all very nice and tried their best to communicate with us and make us feel welcomed. The whole evening left us counting down the days until the next Holy Spirit night!
