My diary

In October, over my fall break, I travelled to Switzerland. I spent most of my time in Geneva and took a day trip to Lauterbrunnen in the Interlaken area. I travelled alone for a half of the trip and the other half I was joined by my friend Kacie from back in the States. I did not realize how homesick I was until I saw her! It was so refreshing to be able to catch up and spend time with her over fondue in SWITZERLAND. We went on some pretty stellar adventures. The greatest, most unforgettable experience of the entire trip was paragliding in the Swiss Alps. It was easily one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. I am not quite sure I truly knew what was taking place until the moment that I was running off the side of a mountain. Once we were in the air, gliding through the Alps, I completely forgot about how nervous I was. It was a sight to behold. The mountains, the air, and the views are something I will never forget as long as I live. It was also very special because while I was paragliding, I kept hearing “You’re the God of the hills and valleys” in my head. The Lord showed me realize so many amazing things about the valley from the perspective I had in the air. From up top, you can see all of the beauty that each crack and path has formed in the valley. I left that experiencing viewing the valleys of life in a different light.
