We left Proserpine mid morning on Thursday August 3 arriving in Brisbane for lunch. We spent the night at the Airport Novotel in readiness for our international flight to London.

On this trip we chose to fly Singapore Airlines. Again we treated ourselves to the privilege of Business Class where the comfort of being able to lie flat far outweighs our other flights in economy. We started in the Brisbane airport by waiting in the SilverKris lounge.

Our flight includes a 6 hour stopover at Changi Airport, Singapore. This was more than just an airport; Singapore Changi Airport is a destination in its own right. Whether it was stretching our legs looking through the duty free or relaxing in the soothing butterfly garden; we enjoyed this transit experience. It is currently the World's Best Airport for the fifth consecutive year.

We arrived at Heathrow Airport at 7:00pm on Saturday August 5. Passing through customs was simple using the Fast Track lane. Then we caught a London cab to take us to the Crowne Plaza in King's Cross, London. This was our accommodation for one night, chosen because of its close location to King's Cross Railway Station.
