Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and is renowned for its culture, style and the friendliness of its people. It offers a blend of internationally-acclaimed museums and galleries, stunning architecture, vibrant nightlife, fantastic shopping and a diverse array of restaurants and bars. The city centre has countless impressive Victorian structures.
We started with the Hop on Hop Off bus to get a feeling for the city and its attractions. Not my favourite place.
Places to Visit:
* Glasdow Green, Closed for band comp
* Buchanan Street Shopping -A lot of shops with different amount of prices. Definitely one of the best shopping streets in Glasgow with a great variety of shops. Buskers are always providing quality entertainment. Lots of restaurants and bars down lanes leading from Buchanan street.
* Riverside Museum - great , on River Clyde, cars, bikes, bicycles, trams, ships, locomotive and a glimpse into the daily life of early to mis 20 th century.
* saw tall ship at riverside The Glenlee
* Passed Merchant City
As it was a Saturday night we decided not to stay in the city centre but 7 kms from town at the Glasgow Pond Hotel on the Great Western Road.
