Wakey wakey rise and shine, it's a new adventure time. We had our final breakfast on Ometepe. Porridge and a cup of tea. Paul was in one of his funny silly moods this morning, but i like that mood, it makes me laugh. He has found a new app on his phone that makes things slow motion so we were messing around with that...big kids.
Ready to go, firstly a taxi to the port and then the ferry back to San Jorge...goodbye Ometepe. When we arrived we got a taxi to San Juan Del Sur town centre. We had a very quick look around while waiting for our shuttle to our hostel. Yet again our place to stay was great for the price. We even have an outdoor pool. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we grabbed a drink at the bar and chilled for half an hour. The room was nice, decent, clean. Once settled in we got ready to go to the beach. One word...WOW. The beach is incredible. It's massive, and so are the waves, a surfers paradise. Paul is in rock heaven with all of the rocks that surround the beach. We spent a good few hours walking down the beach and taking photos. We were still there for the sunset, which was really nice. I sat on a massive rock and enjoyed the views while Paul did his photo stuff. After the sun went down we headed back, got ready and went to our restaurant for dinner. I had pesto pasta and chicken and Paul had a burger...greedy. We got back to our room and totally chilled out for the night. I washed our stinky towels and Paul sorted out his photos. Out of all the photos he had taken i think he liked a big whopping one of them. I liked them all...just sayin'.

06:30...let's go, let's go, let's go! We got ready and headed to breakfast at 07:30. I had woken up with some serious tummy ache going on and had a dodgy stomach. Great. For breakfast i had jam on toast and a yoghurt. I'll be having the same as Paul tomorrow, yoghurt and granola, it looked so good. I really do feel rubbish.
Still, we got on the shuttle and headed towards San Juan Del Sur town centre for a few hours. We went to the beach which was nowhere near as nice as ours. And of course, there was a highest point, and of course we had to climb it. It was only a half hour hike, pretty simple, pretty steep and pretty damn HOT! I was one big drop of sweat by the time i reached the top. We enjoyed the views for a while before heading back down. We had a quick look around the shops before we had to get our shuttle back at 12:30pm. We got back to our room, got ready and went to our own beach. We had lunch at the beach shack first, i had a mix of nachos, shrimp and god knows what and paul had a burger...greedy. We went for a walk down the beach again for more photos. Paul is still in rock heaven. We are currently sat together on a rock watching the sunset...perfect.
It was dark when we headed back. We got back to or room and chilled out. We had dinner at 20:00, chicken fajitas for me and a beef wrap for Paul, and a piece of chocolate chip banana bread...greedy. We went back to our room and chilled out some more. We have big adventure plans tomorrow, i like big adventure days.

We were up for breakfast at 07:30 today, we both had the granola and yoghurt. We went back to our room to get ready for a day of fun, and some fun we definitely did have. It was an amazing day, by far a favourite of mine. The sun was shining, and it was very hot. We headed down to the beach where we stayed all day long. We walked the whole length of the beach, taking photos along the way and watching the enormous waves crashing against the rocks. Our original plan was to hike a big hill we had found so we could overlook the whole beach, however this was impossible as it was private land. Still, we went to a little beach hut so Paul could get some food and then we went on a different adventurous hike. We climbed some rocks, trying to dodge the waves as they came in, we got soaked, but we made it to the other side and the views were stunning. Great for photos. We even found a cave. We stayed here for a while before heading back. We walked the full length again and then chilled out at another beach hut. We each had a drink to hydrate us and i had some spicey chicken wings.
After we hydrated ourselves we went to hire out a surf board for Paul and a boogie board for myself, it was time to hit the waves. We had them for a couple of hours and it was so much fun. Paul managed to get up onto his board a few times, he did really well. I was loving life on my boogie board. I fell off a few times, going right under and getting salty water in my mouth, up my nose and in my eyes but i just didn't care, i was having way too much fun. 17:00 came around far too quickly and we sadly had to hand our boards back in. It was a great sunset tonight too, i was on such a high. So much so that i bought me and Paul a beer to end such a great day on the beach. We headed back to our place and we both jumped straight in the shower, together! After freshening up we headed to dinner, and then called it an early night.
San Juan Del Sur...we will miss you!
