My diary

Today we saw the Mogao Caves... THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL!! We saw many people gazing at the people on the wall. Curious as to who they were, we asked some surround people. They told us they were called "Buddhas" and that the popular religion in this area was Buddhism. There were tons of gigantic carved Buddhas carved into cave walls. Some of the Buddha's were painting different colors. In many places there were intricate designs on the ceiling of the cave walls. The designs were symmetrical and had similar colors. The design on the ceiling of one of them were different Buddhas. After looking around the Mogao Caves, we sat with some locals and asked them to tell us more about Buddhism before we carried on our journey.
