This is one of two Roman calanders displayed at the National Museum. It is not a complete calander but rather it's in fragements and has been pieced together in order to give an idea of what it looked like. The calander was an important piece to Roman life. It would have documented events and holidays. It is arranged so that the months are across the top row and under neath them each day is listed out. Another interesting thing is that each year was named after the person in power.
