India 2018

After such a busy schedule everyone was looking forward to a ‘free’ day. We all went off and did our own thing, some went to Sri Sitaramdham Temple & Divine cakes again, others went shopping, Nick had a haircut and lots of spa treatments in the hotel were had. We had a lovely final dinner at the Ganga Kinare Boutique Hotel and the next morning we were up and off on the less salubrious train to Delhi. The porters carried our bags on their heads this time, popping a little cushion on top before piling on the cases. Although the train was past it’s best and quite dirty (the only one like this is two trips to India) the people were mostly very nice, a couple of guys almost had a fight over some luggage but this added to the colour of the journey. No one could complain about the lack of refreshments though, this was real India.
