London & Scotland: Take II 2018

Tuesday, Andy and I ate lunch at Merkamo Ethiopian market stall - the same delicious Ethiopian fare I had last visit. We hopped on the tube to Paddington and walked the canal path from Little Venice. The canals are a more intricate system than I realised, and apparently you can navigate all over the UK by boat.

Today, the boats are used more for housing or commercial purposes, and we passed a few houseboats with gardens atop, or floating tyres with plants growing in them. It's quite a pretty walk, and we went all the way to Mile End, with a short stop at Camden Markets. I was so disappointed to find Cookies and Scream no longer exists, but I discovered a double chocolate cupcake with gold glitter on the icing, so afternoon tea happened after all.

Camden Market had so many vegan options I decided I need to return tomorrow. There's much more than my last visit, and I have at least overnight to decide what to try next!

We walked around 13 plus kilometres in total, stopping to chat to boat cats, swans, coots, and admire the daffodils which are now springing up all over London. We also saw a floating hot tub, heading down the canal near Camden with some grinning bathers - note to try this one day! The snow has finally melted and it was relatively warm today. 8C - practically a heatwave!

Now listening to Joe Purdy and planning my last full day in London.
