Around the World in Many Days, III: South East Asia
In Singapore we were joined by T, who will be travelling with us for a while, and who helped us make the abrupt transition from one of the poorest countries in the world (Madagascar) to one of the richest (Singapore).
For logistical reasons, we had only three days in Singapore, which made for a busier sightseeing schedule than we had become accustomed to:
- Day 1: arrival + Chinatown
- Day 2: Botanic Gardens + Little India
- Day 3: Gardens by the Bay + a tiny bit of shopping
And what a sight to behold this city was, both in contrast to what we had just left behind, and very much in its own right, most especially the Gardens by the Bay's conservatories and the Botanic Gardens' orchids.
It is not unthinkable that we may return here in the future, near or distant.

- Four Chain View Hotel, Singapore (3 nights; ok, but we had expected more in terms of internet connection quality from a Singaporean hotel)
