European Summer
The drive through the Ariegeoises region was stunning. We followed part of the Tour route and turned south onto the main road across the Pyrenees towards Spain. We drove through forests, mountains, farmland, ski resorts and little villages stopping frequently to take photos and enjoy the views. One scenic viewpoint that looked down a valley we revisited 5 months later when covered in snow.

Aulus-les-Bains to Andorra
The drive through the Ariegeoises region was stunning. We followed part of the Tour route and turned south onto the main road across the Pyrenees towards Spain. We drove through forests, mountains, farmland, ski resorts and little villages stopping frequently to take photos and enjoy the views. One scenic viewpoint that looked down a valley we revisited 5 months later when covered in snow.
We crossed into Andorra from France via the Tunel d’Envalira which is 2 kms long. This road is the highest road in the Pyrenees.
We booked into our hotel in the village of Ordina, 10kms from the capital Andorra la Vella.
