After kissing Trixie and Rosanna and Kevin goodbye, and a long travel day on the 21st, just ahead of the very large cold front, we made it to Ft Lauderdale. The next morning, our dear friend, Roxane MacGillivray, drove 3 hours from Merritt Island to say Bon Voyage. We had breakfast, did a lot of fast catching up, and then stopped in the Walgreen's parking lot to share a small bottle of Prosecco before Roxane dropped us off at Port Everglades Terminal 19. Check-in was smooth, but there was a bit of a wait while the US Coast Guard did a thorough surprise inspection of the Viking Neptune. Once on board, we unpacked and started figuring out how to live comfortably in 270

square feet. Our cabin stewards, Del (from the Philippines) and Dwi (from Indonesia), are so nice and helpful, as is absolutely everyone on this ship. Fortunately, Roxane also gave us a large bottle of Prosecco which we are saving for New Year's Eve.
