Daming Palace National Heritage Park is located north of the central city of Xi'an. The Daming Palace in the Tang Dynasty was the most magnificent architectural complex in the "three major interiors" (Taiji Palace, Daming Palace and Xingqing Palace) in Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty. Seventeen of the 21 emperors of the Li and Tang Dynasty dealt with the government here. At that time, it was the political center of the Tang Empire. With the attack of years and war, these majestic buildings have long ceased to exist, and most of the ground cultural relics in the garden are remnants of palace foundations, piers, etc. In the Daming Palace Ruins Museum north of
Hanyuan Hall, you can see the cultural relics unearthed in the site, such as utensils used by the Tang Dynasty. In the northeast corner of the museum, there is also a miniature landscape of Daming Palace restored at a scale of 1:15. The highest miniature palace is about 2 meters high. You can "walk" on the streets of the landscape and integrate into the Daming Palace of the Tang Dynasty. In the Danfengmen Ruins Museum near Nanmen, the ruins of Danfengmen were preserved. This is the largest gate that can be tested in Chinese history. There is an archaeological exploration center in the northwest of Danfengmen, where you can personally experience the archaeological excavation and restoration of cultural relics, which is especially suitable for tourists interested in cultural relics. The planned area of Daming Palace National Heritage Reserve is 19.16 square kilometers, covering a total area of about 3.84 square kilometers, which is 4.5 times that of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The park basically restores the historical appearance of Daming Palace in the Tang Dynasty and embodies the elements of tourism on the basis of cultural relic protection.
