Hi everyone from Garry & Pam Broadhurst, this is a brief snapshot of our trip plan for WA.
We will be meeting up with our travelling companions John and Marilyn in Charleville to start our (approx) 10 month trip.
With the exception of a booked tour for the Horizontal Falls (out of Derby) and Christmas with our families in Melbourne, we are not working to a set date for any specific locatiosn, if we like it we will stay awhile, if not we will move on with a maximum travel of about 300klms for the day.
From Charleville we travel through Longreach, Winton, Mt Isa and Katherine to Kununarra where we will leave the Caravans and take a tent along the Gibb River Road to Derby then back up to the Northern Hwy (Bitumen) to pick up the Caravans and the Return to Derby for our Horizontal Falls tour.
From Derby it's onto Broom and the Pilbara, then work our way down the West Coast through Geraldton and Perth to Margaret River, Albany and Esperance before heading across the Nullabor to South Australia, Eyre Peninsula, Adelaide and then onto Melbourne where we go our separate ways for family Christmas. After Christmas we will meet up again and travel back to Brisbane via Canberra.
