Wild West Adventure

Little Tallapoosa Park presented us with our first new friend on the road, Mr. Quackers, I was out taking care of the wet bay and came around the corner to see Mr. Quackers at the door and Pat taking pictures. Of course, we had to feed him breakfast, not sure if part of a hot dog bun was the healthiest for him!

The front AC still is not working so on our drive from Carrollton, GA to Huntsville, AL, we stopped in Guntersville, AL to have it checked out. After a review by 2 techs we got the news it was kaput and we needed a new one. Fortunately Huntsville has a Great American RV dealer (we purchased the unit from GARV in Hammond, LA) and was able to line up a replacement and warranty work. We finally made it to Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, a beautiful park on top of the mountain. Getting up there was a good test for how the rig was going to perform on steep grades. I am glad we got the engine uprated from 380 to 450hp, it did very well.

Laurie and Dennis Anderson hosted a fabulous dinner for us and old friends, Herb and Julie Haught. Wonderful evening catching up, hard to believe it is 15 years since we left Huntsville.
Stats: 160 miles, drive time 3 hours, AC tech time, 2 hours.
Weather: hot, 98 high, 76 low, high humidity

Pictures: Mr. Quackers getting breakfast, Park sign, parked getting ready to cook dinner, Savannah Banana's blasting by us.
