The night before we took a cab with some wonderful people we met at APL and moved to a hotel near the airport. Our assistant did something wonderful - instead of putting us in some awful Marriott or Hilton, she got us a reservation at a hotel called Tiber, which was right on the ocean. Now this wasn't a beach resort - it was a working fishing village, with the smells, sights and sounds of a fishing village. It was like being in Glouster or some other New England fishing town. Very quaint and wonderful. We walked around the neighborhood snapping pictures, and then ate dinner at a place recommended by the hotel. The food was wonderful. Last night in Rome was fantastic end to a great two weeks in Rome. I must say though I cannot WAIT to get back home and hug my loved ones - Jason and Cookie. I missed them so SO much!
