I finally managed to sleep in past 6am! Which was great because we were in for a full day of adventure.
We set off to go with ‘Canyoning Bob’ to Grmecica canyon of the edge of Triglav National Park. When we got to the carpark, we put on all our gear including a full wetsuit with jacket and wetsuit gloves and socks! It was then a decent walk to the start of the canyon uphill over tree branches and rocks. At the top we were given a brief abseiling lesson (would have been really hard to follow if you’d never been abseiling before!) and then we abseiled in to the start of the canyon before jumping down into the water below. As soon as I hit the water I understood why the full wetsuits were necessary. The water was about 5 degrees!
The canyon was really beautiful and it was good fun as it had multiple jumps into pools below (6m) as well as a few abseiling and some climbing similar to the Ferata. There were also some rock slides which were great fun although very slippery which made it difficult to stop yourself at the end. It was a bit slow however with 12 people and the three guides so it meant waiting around quite a bit in the water. At the very end of the canyon, there was an 8m jump next to a waterfall into the pool below. Then, instead of having to walk back, we floated down the river rapids towards the cars which was a great way to finish the canyon.
Back in Bled we had a very quick changeover between activities (in which time I managed to eat a spinach pastry, apricot donut and a punnet of strawberries! :O) and then we headed off around the lake before catching a chair lift up to an adventure park at the top. The adventure park was similar to ones I’ve done before where you have two carabiners you use to navigate your way through an obstacle course. We did the three hardest courses at the place which included ziplines, trapeze, climbing nets, balancing on suspended logs and slacklines. The scariest part of the course were the zip line endings which were very sudden without much to stop yourself going flying into the padding around the tree! At one point Michelle was taking a video of me doing a zipline and then 1m before the end we both released she was standing in front of my landing spot and she had to quickly get out of the way, which caused as both to laugh a lot as we’d been so stupid not to realise what would happen. At the end there was a long zipline to finish off the park. It was fantastic fun, although I did fall off 4 times but was of course caught by my harness and could clamber back up. After we’d finished at the park, we rode

toboggans down the bottom which had incredibly sharp turns but was great fun!
As a group we stopped at the bar at the bottom of the hill for a drink before we headed back to our hotel. I stopped in at the corner shop to grab something for dinner before I headed back to the hotel room and spent the night relaxing followed by a much needed long sleep!
