Chapter 1 - The Departure

It began on the morning of Tuesday 6th October, the removalists arrived to pack our things for transport to the UK. We had to be careful not to leave things around otherwise they got packed!! Hopefully we remembered to pack everything we needed! My bike was packed first, hope it's going to be OK!

On Wednesday 7th October, the second lot of removalists arrived to pack everything for storage. By the end of the day, the house was full of all our things packed into boxes. Quite a few things got packed which weren't supposed to, but I guess we'll find them when we get back!

While the removalists were working we were staying at the Marion Caravan Park, nice place, good people running the park. The boys loved the pillow trampoline! Did manage to get a little sleep!

On Thursday 8th October, the removalists returned to take all our things into storage, it didn't take long, and the house was very much empty!

We had our last meal in Adelaide with Alison and Pat and Grantley Rogers, some takeaway from Chefs of Tandoori, not a bad "last supper"! Friday 9th October came, which was departure day! We packed our bags, the taxi arrived, and we headed off to the airport around midday. Family was there to see us off, even if we arrived at

the airport a couple of hours too early! Didn't read the itinerary very well...... better to be early than late!
