Visit to London

28th December 2015 we set off for our visit of London, took a taxi to Salisbury train station, then the train to London Waterloo. We found our accommodation at Novotel Waterloo, then headed off to find some Christmas lights and markets. We walked down Oxford Road and Piccadilly Circus and viewed some spectacular lights suspended between the buildings. The toy shop Hamleys was still displaying extensive Christmas shop front displays, the boys loved it! We found dinner at a Garfunkel's restaurant, then headed back to the hotel. The boys were really tired, as Erik went to sleep at the table.

29th December were jumped on the Big Red Bus tour and did a

complete circuit of the inner city. We also decided to take advantage of the added river cruise that went up the Thames from Westminster, down the Thames, past the Tower Bridge and then back again. Was an interesting way of viewing London, and the commentary of the Captain was amusing.
