Our 2017 Northwest USA Adventure
Yesterday we had lunch with our son Jeff at Red Robin to say goodbye for 2 months. He really cried ... tears of joy ;) Had a great time as usual and good food. Last night we stopped by our neighbor's Al & Val's for the Friday Night Wine & Cheese. We had a chance to say goodbye to good friends in the Village.
We took off around noon and decided to take our time. Recently we had work done on our Durango by the guru of all things Airstream hitches up in London Ontario. Making a switch from a Dodge Ram 2500 to a Dodge Durango was a little concerning. We really wanted

Yesterday we had lunch with our son Jeff at Red Robin to say goodbye for 2 months. He really cried ... tears of joy ;) Had a great time as usual and good food. Last night we stopped by our neighbor's Al & Val's for the Friday Night Wine & Cheese. We had a chance to say goodbye to good friends in the Village.
We took off around noon and decided to take our time. Recently we had work done on our Durango by the guru of all things Airstream hitches up in London Ontario. Making a switch from a Dodge Ram 2500 to a Dodge Durango was a little concerning. We really wanted
this to work. And it did. We had a great ride.
We stopped for lunch for a quick bite and finished our meal with delicious biscotti from Val! Thanks goes out to her for the sweet treat!
When he was a boy playing sports, Tim had big dreams of making it to the hall of fame. Well today was his day! We rolled into the RV Hall of Fame in Elkart Indiana around 7:00 PM. Once we got parked, we decided to take a walk. Attached to the RV Museum is a large event center. We heard music coming from the building. Walking in we were greeted by the manager, Jeff who ended up giving us a grand tour of the building.
The event going on there tonight was interesting. It's called a Quinceañera which is the Hispanic community's comparable celebration to "Sweet 16." He allowed us to peek in. It was quite shocking to see 250 people celebrating along with a D.J. followed by 2 different bands. He said that this is a big event in this community. Obviously it is ... he said it will go on until 2:00 AM. As we write this we can hear the boom-boom of the music. Now the fireworks have started!
First day went very well. Traveled through Ohio and half-way through Indiana. We're sitting in our Airstream right now with our coconut rum & coke, ham, cheese and black olives. Life is good!
Stayed at: RV Hall of Fame for free. Dry camping.
