Chefchaouen was one of my favourite places in Morocco. Located in a gorgeous wide valley and surrounded by the stunning Rif Mountains. The village streets are painted blue which gives the village a lovely calm feel. Much of Chefchaouen was recreated by Andalusian refugees escaping the Reconquistia. It has a laidback bohemian feel and they people are more relaxed than they are in the larger cites as are the cats!
