Embracing Wanderlust

People watching in central station
Girl in tshirt-I met God, she's black
Whacked by the okker accent of Aussie lady about to go in a cruise
Buying dick smith cereal, Granny Smith and Vegemite
Back in Nelson's home-was there the day we flew so it feels like we on,y just left.
Moving into kirribilli with Eduardo. Incredible view, still feels like a holiday with the world's best view. Only, we are still living out of our bags (albeit with cupboards now) sleeping on the floor and not TV. Apparently it's so funny, my friend wanted to take a photo of our 'bed' and show it to her husband. I drew a line at that....Loving not having a TV, watch the view for hours watching the constant comings and gigs of cruise ships and storms approaching.
Being very aware of the urge for consumerism. Wanting to buy more than one of each item at the shops as they're on sale but not actually needing it. Trying to genuinely only buy what it is we need and live simply and day to day. One shelf in the fridge and one shelf in the fridge. Ironically, it's actually more expensive to buy smaller portions than what it is to buy in bulk. I know that we're setting things up, but it feels like we spend a lot each day buying food. Sydney is expensive.
The pull of living the expected 9-5 job, earning money not spending it. The car is in one of two untimed
Busy catching up with friends and sorting out issues
Wonderful lifestyle of soaking up the afternoon sun by the harbour, running over the bridge, picnic dinners by the water and sauntering into the city to people watch and soak up the city ambiance and people watch.
Becoming a member of the local library and coming home with an armful of books, magazines and pamphlets of nearby walks and running tracks.
Being able to walk to work (albeit 7kms and arriving very sweaty) or catch the bus taking time to window shop and read my books.
Waking up to the sun, the comings and goings of water life, watching the sunset over the bridge and twilight glisten across the water with the lights twinkling at me.
Smells of restaurants on military road reminding me of fabulous countries we've visited with memories flooding back of friends, food and adventures.
But, I need to drag myself away from the enticing glitz and glamour of the city to compete what it was that I set out to do-volunteer in Australia, preferably WWOOFing.
