South to Canada II

Today is the first day of our trip to take Nora to her first year at the University of Toronto. While we will be doing lots of sightseeing, today was really just a travel day. We left home right on time, 8:00. Seattle has been really smoky, from fires in British Columbia, and we were in smoke all day long. Eastern Washington ... lots of smoke.

Richmond Beach, Washington to Missoula, Montana

Today is the first day of our trip to take Nora to her first year at the University of Toronto. While we will be doing lots of sightseeing, today was really just a travel day. We left home right on time, 8:00. Seattle has been really smoky, from fires in British Columbia, and we were in smoke all day long. Eastern Washington ... lots of smoke.

Idaho was smokey as well. The main thing we remembered about Idaho from our 2012 trip was that the speed limit changed about every five miles. They've had 5 years to finish up their roadwork, but there's just as much in 2017. We drove at speeds of 45, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 -- and each of those multiple times, even though it only takes about one hour to get across Idaho. We did get to revisit some of our favorite signs from 2012.

Montana was even smokier, because there are fires actually in Montana. We are staying in Missoula, where we had a delicious dinner, and a walk around the town. (and photos with unnecessary apostrophe)
