Laura Dekker, who started sailing alone at 6 years old, was the youngest person to sail alone around the globe. When she was 13 she sailed from Netherlands to England and back and she circumnavigated the globe. She slept on a damp bed and only ate rice, pasta, cookies and pancakes. Laura Dekker, was in a group of sailors when she was young. She survived weeks at sea with no company, except for the rats and cockroaches.
