Dear Diary,
Today I was on the Andros Island. It was amazing!! I went scuba diving to the 3rd largest fringing barrier reef!!! Its 190 miles long!! Isn't that amazing! It was beautiful. After that I went one of the blue holes on the island. You are probably wondering what that is, its a blue hole surrounded by land. It was very strange.... Andros has the most blue holes in the world. A lot of species live there like cave fish and many invertebrates. Andros is known for being the home of the Mystical Creatures. There are large bird-like creatures with mystical powers called Chickcharnees, they live in pine forests. There is also a Lusca, the sea monster, that will suck you down underwater in the blue holes (Lairs). Andros is also known for Bahamas largest National Park System. Its the countries largest protected area. It includes five national parks, Blue Holes National Park, Crab Replenishment Reserve, North & South Marine Parks and the West Side National Park.
