On the road again...

We flew to Langkawi unsure what to expect as although Cat had really enjoyed it when she spent the millenium on the island, some time had clearly passed since then and friends had reported over development. These concerns were confirmed when we arrived to find massive hotels on the beach with a less than appealing main street. To be fair, the beach was nice and wide, with bars and restaurants, but it just wasn't our style. Since the high season was approaching, the boats had resumed to Ko Lipe, so we decided to hop on one the following day back to our first destination of the trip that we had loved so much.
As soon as we saw the crystal clear waters and beautiful white sand, we knew the decision had been the right one. We headed over to Sunrise beach to Forra Dive Resort again, where Flora was delighted to see that Marij was still there. We spent the next few days relaxing and eating great food. The national marine park, which had been closed during our previous stay, was now open, and so Cat dived the Stonehenge site, a purple underwater

world with stunning coral and literally thousands of fish.
After 4 nights, against our best expectations, James came and joined us as he was on holiday. Together we had sunset beers, kayaked, snorkeled, ate good food and watched England convincingly beat the All Blacks in the Semi Final, before heading back to Langkawi for a night prior to catching the boat to Penang.
