Prologue

This is a story that's more than 50-years in the making.

On May 4, 1973, Joe and Anne--that's us-- got married and the first thing we did was go to Italy on our honeymoon. Joe has family in Casalattico, Italy, not far from Rome. And so our honeymoon was there, plus a train trip through the French Riviera, Monaco and finally, Barcelona and back. That was enough to instill a love of travel and over the years we managed to return to Italy again and again, with a trip to at least one other destination each time.

We took our kids when they were as young as six and they too love to travel. Finally, after 30 years we took a 30 year anniversary around the world trip.
We self-published a book called Around the World Chronicles--a Celebration! The very last words in that book were "...So are we ready to do it again? You betcha!"

Well folks, here we are--ready

to embark on our 50-year anniversary trip.

This "diary" has all of our stops in it--we'll be filling in pictures and telling you about our experiences as we go along. We'll be in London England, Dubrovnik Croatia, Athens Greece, Haifa and Jerusalem Israel, Alexandria and Cairo (Giza) Egypt, Ephesus Turkey, Kathmandu Nepal, Singapore, Darwin Cairns, Port Douglas, Yulara, Adelaide and Sydney Australia, ending with an Hawaiian Island Cruise.
