Stopover Athens

We are just here for dinner! Actually we were here on a previous trip and while Athens is a beautiful city to explore, we don’t really have the time to see much. We are just here to catch a ship for the Holy Lands!

We have a room in Europe’s oldest capital at a cute boutique hotel with a pretty closeup view of the Acropolis.

We walked the old town area for a bit and then stopped in a center Square for a drink. The weather is in the 80s and the afternoon was hot. On the table was Kalamata olive oil – some thing I struggle to find at home since the wildfires here damaged Trader Joe’s source.

And what a dinner we ended up having! Grilled stuffed vine leaves, yogurt and garlic sauce, grilled eggplant, tzatziki, hummus, and pita bread! To top it off, an excellent baklava! And look at our view!
