Up at 8:00AM for breakfast and out the hotel doors at 9:00AM, today we spent the whole day exploring the nature of Killarney. We have been very fortunate so far and have been having great weather and today was no exception. To start things off, we hopped into a horse and carriage outside of our hotel and were toured around Ireland’s largest national forest just outside the town. The lush landscapes and heavy vegetation surrounded the pathway in every direction. Immediately following our ride, we were loaded up into the coach and were off to drive the “Ring of Kerry;” a large loop that expands the perimeter of one of the most western peninsulas. There is not much to be said about this part since we spent the whole afternoon driving the ring stopping briefly here and there for photo opportunities. The many pictures we took will hopefully do a better job at illustrating just how awesome the landscape and coast is here.
We returned into town right around dinner time and grabbed a cheap bite from the subway around the corner. We walked around the streets for a bit before returning to our hotel and grabbing some drinks at the pub. Once our thirst was properly quenched, we knocked out early to catch up on some much needed rest.
Photos will come soon, check back in a bit!
