I have left Ecbatana, and have arrived at Babylon after 6 tiring weeks of travel with a group of 20 other fellow merchants and 40 animals to carry our products. It took thirteen days to reach Babylon. Once I were there we traded our gold and copper for silk and wine. I stayed in Babylon for four days. In Babylon I saw the lion of Babylon statue, Ziggurat, and the temple of Marduk. In Babylon the architecture was very interesting. It consisted of sophisticated structures which are made of colored bricks. They also used arches and pillars in their architecture. On the third day I went to a market and saw a royal procession. The procession contained the queen. I concluded that women were uniquely superior in some ways in this civilization. Before I left I joined a caravan of 30 people. There were sixty five animals in total. I enjoyed my time in Babylon.
