My Jurney South

I really have never feasted my eyes upon such a beautifully unique landscape. In all my travels, no where has touched me more profoundly that the rough sand and ragged rocks of the Fuerteventura bays. The character coming off of this small island really is immense! So boy did I enjoy myself.

Day #1 - Soaking it all up

On the first day I travelled to the coast to take in the aesthetic and really soak it all up. The seafront is truly stunning, and the dimmed light from the beach side cafes and bars gives it a really authentic European feel. It was quiet as well. There were no stag or hen parties, no loud children no drunk stragglers. It was all very calm, vary civilised and oh so very relaxing. Suffice to say that booked up some surfing lessons for the next morning. I had come to this island alone, and i'll be damned if I don't make any friends here.

Day #2 - Jumping on those waves

This was probably the best day of the entire adventure. Boy did I make the most of having a surfboard, instructor and wetsuit at the ready. I really went for it. In fact, I think the instructor was a little worried about me. I just kept running into the sea, battling the waves and the wind as if I had no cares in the world and I really didn't! This was the best holiday I could have asked for, and thanks to My Favourite Voucher Codes (https://myfavouritevouchercodes.co.uk), I got it at a reduced price too! Not to mention the fact that I am traveling out of season! It really does go to show that sometimes you just need to venture during quiet periods in order to really relish the adventures. The island seemed so much more authentic and peaceful without lots of families around. The locals were great too, very accommodating and funny! A few people struck up conversations about how I was enjoying my visit. I decided to stay a little longer.

Day #3 - Relaxing and browsing

Fuertaventura

I really have never feasted my eyes upon such a beautifully unique landscape. In all my travels, no where has touched me more profoundly that the rough sand and ragged rocks of the Fuerteventura bays. The character coming off of this small island really is immense! So boy did I enjoy myself.

Day #3 - Relaxing and browsing

I decided, after a day spent doing some intense exercise, that I would take some time to browse the avenue of shops and cafes along the beach. It was a good day, filled with iced coffee, beach views and trinket shop shopping. I even met one of the other girls from the surf day for lunch. Her name was Emma and we talked for a while about the different places that we have travelled too. She was solo traveling as well so we swapped contact details. Having a good group of travellers on my social platforms is great, it means I have a log of where people are and when so that I can meet them should we be in the same place. Emma was nice, I’d like to meet up with her again.

Day #4 - Coming to an end

My time in Fuerteventura was coming to an end and, to be honest, I really didn't want to leave. I contemplated extending my stay. I felt like I could live there! But the holidays are starting soon, and the small and cosy out of peak feel might be ruined. I decided to head home for a while, recoupertate. But I would definitely be back.
