The Adventure Begins

Today the adventure begins, On the plane for 12 hours, I watched a documentary on Queen while Matt watched on Surfing, how typical of both of us, managed to get some sleep before arriving in San Francisco.

We headed straight down to clear customs as we only had carry on, but unfortunately an Air China 747 flight arrived just before us an it was packed, eventually we cleared customs and headed out to look for the BART station. By about 3PM we were in downtown San Francisco.

We walked up to the hotel, relaxed for a bit then ventured out to explore, first stop Johnny Foleys Irish Pub. We had a couple of beers met our first locals and our first experience of tipping.

Dinner at the Tonga room, indoor rain while having dinner! We had a couple of the very large cocktails. Walking back I lost Matt, he turned up at the hotel. His bladder got the best of him, so he found the closest wall and pissed on it, the wall being the swanky Saks Union Square.

Day 1 in the USA was over and we crashed at the hotel.
