My diary

This bronze artifact was the beginning of it all. Before Rome was founded, Amulius, overthrew Numitor, the king of Alba Longa and descendant of Aeneus. After killing off the rest of the male descendants to the throne, he forced Numitor’s daughter, Rhea Silvia, to abandon her twins at the Tiber River and be left to die. However, it is believed that the She Wolf on the Tiber River founded these two babies, Romulus and Remus. She rescued them, and nursed them to keep them alive. Soon after, a shepherd and his wife found the two babies, and took them into his home. Little did the world know during that period of time, that these two infants would become the founders of Rome. When the two became men, and discovered their true identity, they killed Amulius and decided they wanted to form their own kingdom. After furious debates on the land ownership, Romulus kills Remus and names his new city Rome. From this myth, one can argue that the gods were protecting the twins from harm, because they knew the power they held and how they were going to form an empire that would last for many generations, the Roman Empire.
