Today, we are continuing our journey. Our goal is to reach and gain more knowledge about North America. I am sailing with Giovanni Da Verrazano, representing France. For this voyage, we brought maps, a compass, food, and plenty of liquor. We thought the trip would take only weeks, but we have been sailing for over a month now. Because of that, we are quickly running out of food and water. Many have died already. On top of that, we are disagreeing on how to ration the food, which is the last thing we need in these crucial moments. Everywhere you turn, there is someone either arguing and physically fighting, or dead and thin because of the lack of nutrition. Men are selfishly exchanging words. Some say we should save the food and ration it equally, and some say we should just feed the most important crew members so we could get to land quicker. I look in the storage room just to see a lack of food and barrels containing our drinks. It is disastrous. I have already gave up some of my food for the weak, but it is no use. So long for now.
