Here we go!

Dear all,

After some research on the web, a bit of doubting on my side and simply also some weeks of doing " nothing" here is the start of my blog for the coming period.

Via this website I will do my best to keep you all (or those of you who are interested ;-)) up to date on my where abouts and stories and experiences. As some of you may know, I like to talk quite a lot but writing funny blogs is not my " bright spot" , so it will probably be quite a lot of pictures with some short notes to accompany them.

The reason why I will be writing in English is to be able to use " one size fits all" for my Dutch, Spanish and Irish friends and obviously all the other nationalities or funny mixes (like Tash or Hector :-)). Feel free to respond, reply in your own language... as long as that is one I can understand too :-)

What will I be doing coming half year and why?! At the end of last year I decided I wanted to take a sabbatical leave from work. Shortly after, I received a GO to be able to leave the 1st of October 2014.

Why? Well, after 7 years of working I thought it would be good to take some time off, next to that my boyfriend lives in Mallorca and I was eager to spend more time with him and together find out whether this will keep working in the future.
Next to that I want to use the coming period to learn how to " enjoy the moment itself, NOW!" rather than always looking ahead and planning. Taking things more as they come and enjoy.... I think the African continent will surely help me in my last goal and be a real challenge for my patience :-). I will spend the months of October and February and March mostly on Mallorca and in between I will go off to Africa for 3 months to travel with a 4wheel drive from Cape Town to Tanzania. I will enjoy this amazing trip with several different people who will join me in this journey and make it a memorable trip

together. They are Toni (my man :-)), Tess en Steph!

This is a short general overview and I will try to post something as often as I feel, as I will be enjoying the moments :-) rather than planning to write a blog. But... hopefully this will be once every 2-3 weeks.
