After a mad dash to buy a final few souvenirs along the Ku'damm, we settled in for a nightcap at the Waldorf Astoria's Lang Bar before heading up to our rooms to pack. Berlin was observing Daylight Saving Time that night, so we lost an hour of sleep in what was already going to be a short night. We left the hotel at 6:30 to make our 9:00 AM flight to Amsterdam, followed by an almost nine hour flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. The end of our first trip overseas marked our pilot's final flight, retiring after flying 32 years for Delta. We touched down as if we were landing on clouds. Kenny and Kelton filled up on their sorely missed American food and drinks, and they headed home to Indiana. Au revoir and Tschüss, Paris, Berlin and Spring Break 2019!
