The Paperwork

Well we have had the call and today was the day to go and get our paperwork from Fiona at Independent Travel. Not sure what we were expecting but fairly sure it wasn't two folders full of information. We were taken through it all, day by day hotel by hotel and told we must go home and thoroughly check through it.

We left, both of us grinning ear to ear, we thought we would go and show Mum and Dad. Well what started off as total excitement ended up being a mild state of panic as we read through again and found we had to pick our Alcatraz and Hop on Hop Off pass up at between 9am and 10 am in San Francisco when we start the day about a three hour

drive away and we have to find the hotel and drop off the car at the airport as well oh and we are fairly sure Fiona said the Alcatraz tour would be on the same day we pick up the pass as well! We really need to take a minute and give it a re-read.

Well as it happens glad we didn't rush back to the travel agents to sort it out as when we properly re check we arrive in San Francisco on the 23rd September and have to pick the pass up on the 24th.....what a plum I would have felt. Well it feels scarily close now in fifteen days we will be down in Heathrow. Starting to count down the days properly now we only have eleven more shifts at work. Then it's off to see Uncle Sam!!
